Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities and Donation Drives with AORN Richmond (November 2025 - February 2026)

NOVEMBER 15, 2025: Moments of Hope Outreach, Clothing Ministry, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

We have been supporting this outreach ministry for almost two years and they are so appreciative of our support. Please come out and volunteer with me. If volunteering your time is a challenge, feel free to bring donations. You can bring donations to Saturday Servings or I can coordinate a donation pick up with you. MoHope accepts men's, women's, and children's clothing. Shoes are always needed and backpacks, suitcases, towels, and bedding are other popular items.

You don't need to RSVP to volunteer, just come help out whenever you can. If you have donations or any additional questions, please contact Jessica Ooms at jessica.richmondaorn@yahoo.com. If this date doesn't work for you, but you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. I can coordinate another time to volunteer with you. Saturday Servings occurs every Saturday, so there are plenty of opportunities to support this organization. 

AORN Richmond will continue to support MoHope by volunteering every month (usually on the last Saturday of every month, but sometimes we change the date). We help when we can!

NOVEMBER 24 - DECEMBER 8, 2025 Angel Tree with Safe Harbor

We will be providing eight individuals with some holiday cheer this season. The week of Thanksgiving we will receive a list of items (clothing and gifts) that these individuals would love to receive for the holiday season. AORN Richmond will create a SignUp Genius link and send you that information as soon as possible. Anyone interested in supporting this wonderful organization can sign up to buy the items and bring them to the holiday party on December 8 at the Chickahominy Barn. If that doesn't work for you, you can coordinate donation drop off with Laurie Dameron or Safe Harbor. More information will be provided soon on this donation drive -- stay tuned!

JANUARY 2026: Donation Drive for Little Hands Virginia

We will be collecting diapers and wipes in the month of January. Items can be brought to the January chapter meeting on 1/19/26. You can also go to their website for more information about this organization: https://littlehandsva.org/ 

FEBRURARY 2026: Show some love for EMT, Firefighters, and other First Responders

We will be bringing donuts and other goodies to EMT, firefighters, and other first responders in our local area. More information to come on this fun event supporting our local heroes. We may also have a fun social media challenge associated with this event. Stay tuned for more info!
