Volunteer Opportunity with Moments of Hope Outreach: Saturday Servings July 6th, 12 - 2pm

Posted about 1 year ago by Jessica Ooms

Volunteering has many benefits for the community, but also for you. Numerous studies have shown that volunteering can help boost your mental health by reducing stress and may increase physical activity. It can also help give you a sense of purpose and create connections that may lead to new friendships or professional opportunities. Many organizations depend on volunteers to help fill critical needs in the community. Please consider volunteering. Do you have an hour or two to spare?

Moments of Hope Outreach has found a new location for Saturday Servings. We have been supporting this outreach ministry for a year and they are so appreciative of our support. Please come out and volunteer with me. If you have clothing or shoe donations, feel free to bring them. They accept men's, women's, and children's clothing. Shoes are always needed and backpacks, suitcases, towels, and bedding are other needed items.

Here's the new address: 601 Azalea Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227

If you're interested in volunteering or have any additional questions, please contact Jessica Ooms at jessica.richmondaorn@yahoo.com. If this date doesn't work for you, but you're interested in volunteering, please let me know. I can coordinate another time to volunteer with you. Saturday Servings occurs every Saturday, so there are plenty of opportunities to serve.

The marketing committee will be meeting soon to discuss new volunteer opportunities and donation drives for the upcoming year. Stay tuned for additional ways that you can help out in the community!
